The following are quotes from Mr. Jaffee of the Waterbury Republican.....
"....the South-West Conference, which over the past decade is the best league, top to bottom, in the state"
"Many may disagree, saying the FCIAC or Southern Connecticut Conference are better. But they haven’t viewed the postseason records closely enough, with the likes of Brookfield, Masuk, Pomperaug and Stratford all in the mix every single year since the decade began"
Well Mr. Jaffee it is clearly obvious to me that the strong lighting that you use on the show you have (which amazingly enough we post here every week) has gone to your head...
By the way.......
State champions this decade:
SCC: Hand (three), Shelton (twice), Hillhouse (twice), Branford (once), Notre Dame of West Haven (once), West Haven (once) and Xavier (once)
FCIAC: New Canaan (four), Staples (three), Greenwich (twice) and Ridgefield (once)
Second-Worst Conference: Bunnell (twice) and Pomperaug (once)
I assume you want people to listen to you and think you are actually knowedgeable about what you do......As a bystander I would you say you have passion but that is about it!

NVL: Ansonia (5), Woodland (2), Seymour (1), Holy Cross (1)..Oh wait, the NVL is always called an inferior league.
With so many classes(6)some teams win a Title without playing a team from a "stronger" conference in the postseason. Most "stronger" teams from the FCIAC and SCC are in M,MM,L,LL.An example of a team that won a title vs a lesser known conference power is Seymour as a class Champion in 2007.Do you really believe Tolland was a top 15 team ?
Class S in 2008 is Ansonia and all Pequot teams. How strong do you believe the Pequot is vs FCIAC and SCC.Not since Darien in the 1990's has the FCIAC Consistently been represented in the S and SS.
Go through your history. There is one league that outperforms the rest in the championship season.
Be a genius by doing the homework.
And remember this when adding things up............how many teams make up each league/conference. Put it all together and count.
I'm pretty sure that Tolland had lost to HC in the 2006 playoffs...then they made a run at the championship last year. They aren't that bad.
Tolland was much better last year than the year before.
