Recently:

Woodland @ Seymour Thanksgiving Eve, 2007-Total fog out. Could only see half the action, but VERY exciting.

All time:
Cheshire @ Seymour 1993-Cheshire came out like a shot out of a cannon. The 'Cats made a great second half comeback that came up just short.

HC vs Stratford...
HC was firing on all Cylinders, stopped a dual back running team to under 100 yards on AstroTurf...

But then again, I'm partial to HC

Thanksgiving, 1978.......Ansonia - Naugatuck. 12-thousand on hand to see the Chargers rally in the last minute to defeat Naugy, 7-6. Sandy Osiecki scores his only running TD. THE DRIVE, came right after Naugy had taken a 6-0 lead with 1:30 left in the 4th.

In the broadcast booth calling the game on radio that day: Bob Sagendorf, Chris Berman, Steve Gesseck.

How could Boomer leave Sags and Gesek for ESPN?! That's like the Coach leaving Nick Aprea on the side of the road for a web-based broadcast...oh wait, not the same.

I will go with Seymour/Ansonia 2007
Only true test the Chargers have had in the recent past and a fantastic football environment. Great crowd and a great football game.

How about 2002 West Haven vs Greenwich...The idiot from Greenwich decided to smash the trophy instead of taking like a man

Guard........very funny. I still can't believe he bagged us.

Panic I was at that game in the BPT. I think one of the players from the next game took it home for their wall.

Earlier that same week, the coldest games ever...

I was at that West Haven Greenwich game. West Haven scored on a 40 yard run by Banks in the last seconds to break a tie and avoid OT. It was a simple run up the middle but Greenwich had no one back. It was the third year in a row that Greenwich lost the Title game Shelton 2000,New Britian 2001 and WHHS 2002.So the Assistant coach stomped on the runner up award

So the Assistant coach stomped on the runner-up award

Ugh... stomping on a 2nd place piece of hardware....

Never been there so not sure how it feels, but really #2 aint that bad....

Off to HC vs WTown...
Hope HC can stop the run...

Post update later...

1985 Derby 7 Ansonia 6 Walked to the game from my house in Derby because the parking was so bad back then. Mark Searles throws a pass intended for another reciever and Gruttadaria hauls it in(pete saccu xp) For those who could remember This is when 5000 people at a game was not considered a large crowd.

1988 Derby 10 Ansonia 7 Lots of valley legends on the field(AHS Stallings, Donofrio, Hendricks, Sharkey, Diouto, Kinnebrew, Burkowski DHS Angelletti, Burns, Hunter, and the NVL coach that people like to bash Chris Anderson)
AHS scores late to tie he game and drives the length of the field in the wishbone running the ball against a physically superior AHS team to hit a field goal curteosy of Steve Bizzoto. But wait Ahs drives late and comes up just short on a tipped ball that is almost caught by Harold Beal at the DHS 5. On this Day David Beat Goliath.

RR-are you forgetting Dan Dunaj (HC Torrington) on that '88 Derby team?
