Green Dragons and Academics in the SCC...
So I guess Hamden is the class of the SCC. They did do everything in their power to allow the Gaels to win. Shelton was well on their way up 2 scores late in the first half and squandering it oh so fast. That is what changed this game. Hamden has lots of skilled players duh..it is Hamden with an enrollment of 2000 kids, they should. It is nice to see Benoit actually does something with the talent. I just hope he does not win any coach of the year awards, after all he is doing what every good coach would do with all those players. He is doing it pretty fast though. It just goes to show you how bad those before him were. They can likely run the table now, while the Gaels need to win every week and then pray……Hillhouse is the other undefeated. They play Prep which is better than some of the stiffs they have played thus far. On Halloween they should be all fired up as they play at Shelton. Imagine the Titans of Sheehan are 4-1 as is Foran 4-1. The sad thing is that these teams may make the playoffs in their state divisions while some of the real good teams in the league get left out.
Week 6 Games
Shelton (3-2) at Jonathan Law (2-3)Last week: Shelton lost to Hamden 35-30; Law lost to Guilford 21-0
After that 1 year of excitement in Law it seems like the old SWC team we all knew they were.
Prep (2-2) at Hillhouse (5-0)Last week: Prep lost to Amity 21-20; Hillhouse defeated Lyman Hall 41-7
Will Prep get it done?? In New Haven at 3:30 yeah right…..Then again it still is Hillhouse..
Guilford (3-2) at Xavier (4-1)Last week: Guilford defeated Law 21-0; Xavier defeated Branford 27-25
Xavier great line play. And the great Will Tye…They actually have a shot in LL..
Lyman Hall (2-3) at Amity (2-3)Last week: Lyman Hall lost to Hillhouse 41-7; Amity defeated Prep 21-20
Lyman hall is really bad. Amity is just average….Why would you go to this game unless it was because you had family interests, I guess…..
Branford (2-3) at Hamden (5-0)Last week: Branford lost to Xavier 27-25; Hamden defeated Shelton 35-30
Hamden is fun to watch. Branford likely runs the same offense they have for years.. It sure looked better when they had players to run it.
Cheshire (3-2) at Sheehan (4-1)Last week: Cheshire defeated ND 31-20; Sheehan defeated East Haven 39-7
To me this is the most interesting game on the schedule. This could be fun if Sheehan is for real, and it could suck if Sheehan is a product of its schedule thus far.
Hand (3-2) at North Haven (2-3)Last week: Hand defeated West Haven 38-20; North Haven lost to Foran 28-27
Playoff match up last year. Yeah…Last year
Cross (4-1) at East Haven (0-5)Last week: Cross defeated Derby 37-8; East Haven lost to Sheehan 39-7
East Haven has a beautiful trailer for its marching band. They also have a nice turf field and a state of the art scoreboard. Seriously, the trailer for the band is really nice!
West Haven (1-3) at Foran (4-1)Last week: West Haven lost to Hand 38-20; Foran defeated North Haven 28-27
I really hope this is the shot of reality for Foran…….It could very well be..Hey Bevino they will be a little better than Platt Tech
Notre Dame (0-4) at Derby (1-4)Last week: Notre Dame lost to Cheshire 31-20; Derby lost to Cross 37-8
Well ND if you had some ba--s to schedule an 11th game maybe you to could be 1-4 coming into this game…I would go for the fried dough and actually stay if they let me sit on top of the ambulance and work the sirens. I always thought that would be cool……

The Red Condors will win big...
Raggone runs wild on Sheehan.
Shouldn't Shelton be better?
At this point of the season, the coach of the year is indeed Scott Benoit.Everybody that knows High School Football was expecting him to turn around the Hamden football program. But hardly if anyone expected this type season in year 1.
